Intern Writer - Music

Los Angeles, CA, USA

Job Type

Part Time

About the Role

We are seeking passionate, creative masterminds who are risk-taking, free-thinking, empathetic, and driven by purpose and imagination. You'll be using your intuitive creative genius, communication and researching skills to compose digital and written stories and content for one of our 4 divisions: Arts & Culture, Wardrobe & Style, Lifestyle & Wellness, Community & Causes.

Our quarterly internship grants writers an opportunity to explore their craft and expand their experience collaborating on various projects throughout their 3 month journey with us. We strive to create a plethora of growth-oriented opportunities through digital marketing and media, raw authentic storytelling with a journalistic approach, and hands-on experience driving campaigns and fundraisers that impact the world in powerful ways.

The Intern Writer could be assigned to one or more of these: Digital Content Creation, Listening Party, HOW MAG, We The People podcast, Wolf TV. In addition each of our Interns are recognized as members of our growing creative community of Artists, Creators, and Innovators. We offer 1 on 1 support and mentorship to help all of our Interns excel in their craft, including a year access to our creative office featuring an al-a-carte of creative solutions.

WE WANT TO MEET YOU IF

You are an exceptional writer, with a unique sense of style and well put together. If you can move an audience and influence people this is a bonus. If you're confident, and not afraid to speak your mind, you're the one we're looking for! We really hope you are analytical, detail oriented, and capable of doing deep research -- the next 3 months of your life will be monumental.

This is not a job. It's an opportunity to push the boundaries, gain new valuable skills, and drive the world forward.

As an Intern Writer you will go beyond the surface to tell legendary stories that spark thought, feeling, and action. You will stretch your creative muscles to forge cohesive stories that have purpose and depth. We're writing about things that matter but they should never be boring. Awaken people. Make them come alive through your words. You must be an out-of-the-box thinker with distinguished problem solving skills and a high level of grammatical accuracy. You will be expected to fact check and supply proper credits for all sources used for your stories. If you're ready to learn, grow, and exceed your goals, this is the role for you!

This is not an hourly paid role. It's a pay-per-project role, with an opportunity to become a permanent hourly member of our team. Do not apply if you're looking for a 9-5 or a quick way to earn extra cash.

People of color, LGBTQ+ identifying strongly encouraged to apply. This is a Black queer woman owned company prioritizing diversity and inclusion in music, arts, film, and fashion.
